When Thompson Square dropped by GAC’s Top 20 Country Countdown studio earlier this week, we promptly put them to work. The duo took over hosting duties while Nan Kelley was out and gave us the scoop on their new single, “If I Didn’t Have You,” as well as their upcoming album Just Feels Good, which hits stores March 26.
“What’s funny about the day we taped our episode of GAC’s Top 20 is that exactly 20 years ago – on March 4, 1993 – I visited Nashville for the very first time as a teenager to record with a music producer,” says Shawna. “My aunt actually sent me my hometown’s newspaper clip the other day with an article about that trip. As a young girl I could never have thought that all these years later – on the exact day – I’d be asked to host a national television show!”
