The Band Perry is gearing up to release their new album, Pioneer, on April 2. While they were recording the project, Kimberly Perry took on a role besides singing vocals. She stepped away from the mic and put on her hairnet.
“My main role in the studio is to remind everybody when it was lunchtime,” she said. “Because everybody got so focused on the songs, which was great, and I would be there, my stomach was growling, I was ready for lunch.”
More than once, Kimberly had to get everyone’s attention off of the music and onto food. “I remember on two different occasions when I had to kind of ring the bell and say, ‘Hey guys. It’s time to take a break,’” she said.
Pioneer will contain the band’s latest No. 1, “Better Dig Two,” as well as their new single, “DONE.”
