A baby girl is  on the way for Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott, reports US Weekly. Hillary announced in December via Twitter that she and husband Chris are expecting their first child.

“We found out the day before Thanksgiving, my husband and I, and we were up at my in-laws in New York,” said Hillary. “We were very comfortable with everyone sharing in our joy very, very early, and so we have faith that this baby’s gonna be healthy and beautiful and perfect, and so let’s just let everybody in on our excitement. We’re gonna find out what it is, and it won’t be a secret. I’m not good at keeping secrets!

“I just really have faith,” she added. “I knew that everything was going to be okay, and that this baby was sent to us for a really special purpose, and it’s a huge blessing, so I’m excited.”

Since the announcement that a little one is on the way,  Hillary has been keeping fans updated on how things are progressing through her Twitter account. It seems Chris is quite the attentive father-to-be.

“Who has two thumbs and just asked her husband, and very nicely I might add, to run into the grocery store for pop tarts? ME! Pregnancy,” she wrote in January.

Sleeping has also become interesting for Hillary. “I’ve never dreamed weirder dreams than I have pregnant . . . if I could only recall all the details. It would make a killer movie!” she tweeted last month.

Lady Antebellum will release their new album, Golden, on May 7.
