Gary Allan celebrated his latest No. 1 single, “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain),” with a party at a favorite Nashville spot on Tuesday. The track was his fifth No. 1 as an artist but his first No. 1 as a co-writer. His fellow co-writers, Hillary Lindsey and Matt Warren (who was celebrating his first No. 1 as well), were also honored at the party. Gary confessed to watching the song make its way up the chart.
“I think I watched every second of it,” he said. “I was constantly out working radio, so the people that were with me were counting points constantly, so I knew the second we were ahead, the second when it got close. It was fun. It was fun to watch. It’s too nerve wracking. I probably won’t watch again.”
Gary recently released another song he co-wrote, “Pieces,” as the follow-up to “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain).” Both tracks can be found on his latest album, Set You Free.
