Brantley Gilbert just returned from playing his first shows in Europe, including an appearance at London’s C2C: Country to Country Music Festival. While in the United Kingdom, he learned that country isn’t just country wide, but worldwide too. He’s excited about the chance to build an international fan base.
“When somebody that I really respected and looked up to came to me and said that one of my songs had made a difference in his life, and helped him understand some situations he’s going through in his life, it really set in for me that there could be a message in what I do through writing songs and performing songs,” he said. “So I’ll take that anywhere. Even if they don’t speak English, they can get a translator to tell them what the words say. I could care less as long as they get the message and they dig it, I’m all about it.”
Brantley is currently headlining his own Hell On Wheels Tour. He will join Tim McGraw’s Two Lanes of Freedom Tour in May.
