Florida Georgia Line is enjoying the success they’ve seen lately, including a multi-week No. 1 hit with their debut single, “Cruise.” The duo admits they like to work hard and play hard but realize they have to keep themselves in check.

“There’s a time and place for everything. I think we were both raised in a great home,” Tyler Hubbard said. “We know when to have a good time. We know when to work hard. Whether it’s goofing off or playing basketball, or riding motorcycles or partying after the show or whenever, we know what comes first and in order to be able to do those things you have to work hard.”

“We’ve got a great crew, great band and great guys on the road with us, as well, that are kinda under the same system as we are,” Brian Kelley added. “We kinda feel like it comes from the top.”

Remembering where they came from and how hard they had to work to make it this far helps keep them focused. “We definitely don’t wanna go back to doing what we were doing before music, which was manual labor and no play,” Tyler said. “So it just pushes us. We have a lot of drive and a lot of determination to kinda get where we wanna be and lucky for us, it is a good time.”

“We just kinda said this year … from January 1st, we’re gonna try to outwork our work from last year,” Brian agreed. “No one’s gonna outwork us.”
