Tim McGraw’s latest single, “Highway Don’t Care,” features Taylor Swift on vocals and Keith Urban on the guitar. Working with the pair brings him full circle from some of his early encounters with the now-superstars. Taylor broke onto the scene in 2006 with her debut single, “Tim McGraw,” which caught Tim’s ear in a big way.

“It’s really interesting,” Tim said. “It’s cool that we actually got to work together finally. We’ve been on stage together. I’ve sang with her at her shows before and she opened for Faith (Hill) and I on our Soul2Soul tour years ago.”

Keith Urban was also an opening act for Tim and Faith several years ago. “It’s always nice to go back and work with people who you’ve had a connection with over the years,” he said. “That connection’s a pretty big one with Taylor.”

“Highway Don’t Care” can be found on his latest album, Two Lanes of Freedom. Tim will kick off his Two Lanes of Freedom Tour May 2 in Birmingham, Alabama.
