GAC sends get well wishes to Charlie Daniels, who is recovering from having a pacemaker implanted on March 28 at a Nashville-area hospital.
During a visit to his doctor on March 25, Charlie was diagnosed with a mild case of pneumonia and admitted to the hospital for routine tests which revealed he needed a pacemaker to regulate his heartbeat. He plans to be released from the hospital March 29 and he and his family ask for thoughts and prayers as he recovers.
“I just had not been feeling well and wanted to get checked out,” Charlie said. I am thankful the doctors found the problem and were able to implant a pacemaker to get my heart rate regulated. I am feeling so much better and looking forward to spending Easter with my family.”
Charlie will spend the next two weeks at home recovering. His performance at MTSU’s Murphy Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee as part of the World Outreach Church Easter Service has been cancelled. Two additional dates, Englewood, New Jersey on April 5 and Newark, Ohio on April 6 will be rescheduled.
Charlie will resume his tour in Lynchburg, Virginia on April 11. He recently celebrated five years as a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
