The ACM Awards winners have been announced and the recipients are reacting to hearing their names called! Luke Bryan picked up the night’s big trophy, Entertainer of the Year. The ACM Awards co-host had a busy night, but once he had a chance, he took to Twitter to express his gratitude.
“Dear everyone. Just got back to my phone. What happened tonight was truly incredible. I have no words to describe my feelings,” Luke wrote. He later returned to Twitter to write ‘Still smiling y’all. Whew what a night.”
Miranda Lambert was another big winner on the night, taking home four trophies, including her fourth consecutive Female Vocalist of the Year trophy. “I can’t even believe what happened last night…,” Miranda wrote on Facebook the day after the show. ‘It was amazing! I love country music so much! God is good.”
Little Big Town was named Vocal Group of the Year for the first time. They also picked up the Video of the Year award for their “Tornado” clip. “Last night was absolutely incredible!” the band said in a statement. “Can’t tell you what it means to us to take home two ACM awards. Thank you to our fans for taking us to the party again!”
For the second consecutive year, Thompson Square picked up Vocal Duo of the Year. “I just can’t believe the reality we’re living right now and I truly can’t believe this is our life,” Keifer Thompson said. “We never thought we would do anything like this, especially win it twice.”
