Tate Stevens is experiencing a lot of firsts this year. He finished first on FOX’s The X Factor, which resulted in a record deal. He released his first single, “Power of a Love Song,” to country radio and his self-titled debut album hits stores April 23. He can now add a new first, thanks to his Missouri hometown, which honored him with a 160′ City of Belton water tower, freshly painted with “Home of Tate Stevens, Live the Dream!”

Once a blue collar road worker for the city, Tate has always shown his appreciation for his hometown while chasing his music dreams. The X Factor highlighted his down home roots, charming viewers. Among those viewers was a contingent of Belton residents, who raised 100% of the funds for the water tower’s repainting and dedication.

“It’s moments like this that really make me smile,” Tate said. “The support I’ve felt from the community is incredible, and I hope I can continue to make them proud. I’m so incredibly humbled by this honor.”

Belton officials unveiled the water tower, which is located near Tate’s home off Interstate 49 and M-58, on March 31. The formal dedication, which Tate is scheduled to attend, will take place April 22. Tate will perform a sold out show in Kansas City, Missouri on Sunday. Fans can still purchase a limited of tickets to his Monday night show here.
