Us Weekly reports Jason Aldean and his wife Jessica Ussery have separated. The magazine’s announcement comes seven months after Jason was photographed kissing American Idol’s Brittney Kerr at a bar in Los Angeles. A source told Us Weekly Jason and Jessica separated in January.

“There were obvious problems before the bar kiss, but he finally left earlier this year,” the source told Us Weekly, adding that Jessica did not attend the ACM Awards with Jason earlier this month. Jason’s rep confirmed the couple is going through a tough time but declined further comment.

“I can confirm that Jason and his wife are having problems, but there is nothing more to share at this time,” the rep said. “It’s a private family matter, and we hope everyone will respect that he would like to keep it that way.”

High school sweethearts, the couple have been married for 11 years and have two daughters, Keeley and Kendyl. The pair made a public commitment to stay together following the cheating scandal. In November, they appeared together on CBS This Morning saying they were trying to learn from their mistakes.

“It hasn’t always been roses,” Jason said at the time. “We’ve been together for a long time and through a lot of things together. Those are things that most people get to deal with in private, but we didn’t have the luxury of doing that.”

Jason is currently on his Night Train Tour. His latest single, “1994,” is at radio now. Click here to read the full Us Weekly article.
