Taylor Swift will take The RED Tour to Australia and New Zealand later this year. Currently headlining sold out stadiums and arenas in North America, Taylor will perform stadium shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. She will kick the tour off with an arena show in Auckland on November 29.
Taylor is the first solo female artist in twenty years to embark on a national stadium tour of Australia. The last to do so was Madonna’s Girlie Show tour in 1993. Pre-sale tickets will be available May 14 at frontiertouring.com/taylorswift with the general public sale beginning May 21.
Taylor’s THE RED TOUR features two multi-level stages, elaborate costumes, dancers, aerialists and changing sets. Taylor moves around the arena throughout the show, giving every fan a great sea. She plays a variety of instruments throughout her set while changing costumes 10 times. Songs from her RED album as well as new takes on fan favorites are included on the set list.
With 11 nominations, Taylor is a top nominee for the 2013 Billboard Music Awards. She will perform during ABC’s live broadcast of the show on May 19. She will also guest star on the season finale of FOX’s New Girl which airs May 14.
