Americana Honors & Awards 2013 Nominees Announced

The Americana Music Association has announced the nominees for the 2013 Honors & Awards. Winners will be revealed live at the annual Americana Honors and Awards on September 18 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The show will air live on AXS TV.

Shovels & Rope is the most nominated artist with four nods, followed by Emmylou Harris and Buddy Miller, with three each. Rodney Crowell, John Fullbright, Jim Lauderdale, The Lumineers, JD McPherson, Milk Carton Kids, Bruce Robison & Kelly Willis, Richard Thompson and Dwight Yoakam are also among the nominees. Held Tuesday in Los Angeles at the Grammy Museum, the nominations announcement featured performances by Buddy Miller and Jim Lauderdale, T Bone Burnett with Lisa Marie Presley, Elizabeth Cook and The Milk Carton Kids. It kicked off with an Americana tribute to the late George Jones.
