Jerrod Niemann, David Nail and Pat Green will perform at the first annual Windy City Smokeout, set for July 12-14 in Chicago. The festival, presented by Chicago’s premiere BBQ restaurant, Bub City, will include the best of country music, beer and barbecue.
“We’re excited about the big talent we have on board, and know that country music lovers will be too,” Ed Warm, Joe’s on Weed owner, said. “During this weekend, Chicago will be the next best thing to Nashville.”
Throughout the weekend, fans can enjoy southern-inspired fare from premiere Chicago BBQ restaurants Smoque, Lillie’s Q and Bub City, as well as Myron Mixon, judge of Destination America’s BBQ Pitmasters and bestselling author of Everyday BBQ. Attendes will also have the opportunity to interact with chefs and their culinary teams.
“We wanted to create a real BBQ fest right here in Chicago, and showcase the great, authentic flavors from around the country,” Doug Psaltis, Bub City Chef Partner, said. “We’ll be offering a variety of takes on barbecue and hope people will experience them all.”
General admission tickets are on sale now. A one day pass is $30 and a three-day pass is $60. Tickets can be purchased at bubcitychicago.com.
