Toby Keith’s Oklahoma Benefit Concert Sells Out – Twice

Tickets for Toby Keith’s Oklahoma Twister Relief Concert went on sale Friday, June 21, and sold out in a matter of minutes. Once the event’s details were finalized, organizers released an additional set of tickets which went on sale June 28. Those also sold out in minutes. The show benefiting victims of the Moore, Oklahoma tornadoes is set for July 6 in Norman, Oklahoma.

Artists set to perform include Toby, Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, Trisha Yearwood, Ronnie Dunn, Mel Tillis, John Anderson and Sammy Hagar with Carrie Underwood via satellite live from the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. Krystal Keith and Kellie Coffey were recently added to the bill as well. The concert will end with a fireworks display and rumors are flowing about a grand finale performance.

Ford Trucks, Verizon Wireless, ACM Lifting Lives, and Walmart have joined as sponsors. In addition to sponsoring the relief concert, Walmart and the Walmart Foundation have committed $1 million to Oklahoma tornado relief. Verizon is offering a text-to-donate capability before, during and after the show. Customers of any wireless carrier may donate by texting the keyword REBUILD to 52000, which will give an automatic $10 donation to the United Way of Central Oklahoma’s May Tornadoes Relief Fund.
