Scotty McCreery is being sued by his former manager, Todd Cassetty, reports MusicRow. The suit alleges that Scotty never paid Todd for services rendered, according to the Nashville Post. Todd’s management company, Cassetty Entertainment, was launched in October 2012 with Scotty as his first client but an official agreement was never signed.
“There is no truth to these allegations,” Scotty said in a statement. “I have offered to pay Todd more than once, but he wanted an unreasonable amount for only five months of work. Anyone who knows me knows how I conduct myself, so I am not worried they will believe any of this. This is just an attempt to embarrass me and my family. The facts will come out when we have our day in court.”
According to the suit, Scotty was to pay Cassetty Entertainment 15% of his gross revenue for management services. Todd formed the Cassetty Entertainment after leaving his day-to-day jobs with digital marketing firm Hi-Fi Fusion and television production company Todd Cassetty Welding Service.
