On the eighth anniversary of the release of his debut album, Jason Aldean broke the all-time attendance record at Cheyenne’s Frontier Days. The previous record was held by George Strait. Jason sold more than 24,000 tickets ahead of the show.
“It’s such an unbelievable thing to even have your name uttered in the same breath as a guy like that,” Jason said. “Strait is probably the best country singer of the last century in my opinion. I can only hope for a career that lasts half as long as his…there is still no one cooler than King George!”
Jason partnered with GE, Susan G. Komen and the Wyoming Women First organization at Frontier Days to help encourage women to sign up for more information on screening options in Wyoming, the state with the third-lowest screening rate in the country. He donated concert tickets, private meet and greet experiences and more to raise awareness of the GE “Mammovan” parked on site.
Each October, breast cancer awareness month, Jason chooses one of his tour dates as the “Concert for the Cure” and donates all profits to Susan G. Komen, raising in excess of $1 million so far.
