The Band Perry is currently a special guest on Rascal Flatts’ Live and Loud Tour, but they will be kicking off their first headlining venture, the We Are Pioneers World Tour, in a couple of months. Even as they tour the country with Rascal Flatts, plans for their own show are starting to take shape.

“We actually got our first designs about a couple of weeks ago, so we’re getting several in, gonna see which one really works for us and put it all together,” Reid Perry said.

The trio is taking advantage of their sound checks on the Rascal Flatts tour to work out the set list for their own tour. “[The set list is] quite a chemistry,” Kimberly Perry said. “It’s fun to just talk about different mash ups and ways of doing medleys of different tracks off of Pioneer, so it’s exciting.”

They aren’t giving too much away, but they did spill a little about the production of their tour. From the sound of it, there is one more Perry getting in on the We Are Pioneers action.

“We are forcing our mother to get her pyrotechnic license officially,” Kimberly said. “So there might be some fireworks. And on the Canadian leg, Lindsey Ell and Easton Corbin are both coming out with us and those guys are both really great guitar players. So we’re thinking about doing the traditional mesh as a band, all three acts as a band, but maybe making it more instrumental, which might be fun.”

The We Are Pioneers Tour will kick off on November 8 with a five-week run in Europe before kicking off a string of North American dates in January.
