Shooter Jennings will headline a celebration in honor of our military and first responders at Nashville’s Silver Dollar Saloon on September 11. The event will feature a special tribute show to Billy Don Burns, a celebrated songwriter of country’s outlaw movement who has penned songs for Willie Nelson, Connie Smith, Mel Tillis, Johnny Paycheck and Sammy Kershaw, to name a few.
“September 11 is a watershed date in American (and world) history,” RKW Global Entertainment Group’s Robert Wolf, organizer of the event, said. “We wanted to take this day to thank the heroes who continue to answer when our nation calls—no politics, no sorrow…just a big show of appreciation, Nashville-style!”
Jessica Ridley, Jo-Leah, Hip Kitty’s Jen Halverson, Mike Goncalves, Bridgitte London, Cadie Calhoun and Billy Don Burns himself will also perform as well as unannounced special guests during Billy Don’s tribute portion of the show. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.silverdollarsaloon.com.
