Country music is continuously growing and changing and as the boundaries encompass a greater variety of sounds, Florida Georgia Line is thrilled to be a part of it. The duo has topped the charts twice with their fresh take on mainstream country.
“I’m excited about where country music’s going,” Brian Kelley said. “Music in general, all genres, is ever evolving. You look at Hank Williams, Sr. to Hank, Jr. to Alabama to Garth Brooks. It’s never really the same and I think that’s in a cool spot.”
With their sound on the leading edge of Nashville’s latest country evolution, Brian has a theory on why country music is always changing. “There’s a lot of different writers and artists that are coming out and have so many different influences,” he said. “You get them in a room and it’s gonna sound like a fresh sound.”
Florida Georgia Line is currently a special guest on Luke Bryan’s Dirt Road Diaries Tour. The pair will kick off their own headlining tour later this year. Their latest single, “‘Round Here,” is in the Top 5 at country radio.
