Billy Currington Celebrates New Album with TV Appearances

Billy Currington is celebrating the release of his new album, We Are Tonight, which came out September 17, with appearances on NBC’s The Today Show this morning and NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on September 20. He will perform his hit single “Hey Girl” on both shows.

On release day, premiered an exclusive 24-hour look at the Billy’s new video for “We Are Tonight.” Directed by Kristin Barlowe, the video was shot at the DeKalb County Fairgrounds in Alexandria, Tennessee, one of the oldest running fairgrounds in the United States. The microphone used in the video was inspired by images from the county fair’s archives.

We Are Tonight is Billy’s first album in three years. He worked with three producers on the album, including longtime producer Carson Chamberlain, Dann Huff and Shy Carter. The project includes “Hey Girl” as well as a cover of Jack Johnson’s “Banana Pancakes” and “It’s Hard To Be A Hippie” which features Willie Nelson.
