Stars from other genres have made headlines for their daring performances and sometimes risky behavior. While The Band Perry has made headlines for things like No. 1 hits, they won’t be front page news for non-musical reasons anytime soon. According to the trio, they are thankful for being in a family-friendly format like country music where not only are they family, but their fellow artists and fans are, too.

“The country format is a family, among ourselves,” Kimberly said. “But favorite thing is when we’re at a meet and greet, and we see a kid and her mother and the grandmother. Like, three generations.”

Kimberly and her brothers are grateful to be a part of a format that people of all ages can share and appreciate. “It feels very blue collar and normal,” she said. “It’s applicable. It means something. And it’s not all about the bells and whistles. For country, it’s true blue and we’re just really proud to be a part of it.”

The Band Perry just released their new single, “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely,” to country radio. They will kick off their We Are Pioneers World Tour November 8 with a five-week run in Europe. The North American leg will begin in January.
