The Band Perry’s first two singles from their Pioneer album, “Better Dig Two” and “DONE,” were full of attitude. For their latest single, “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely,” the sibling trio decided to soften things up considerably.

“We couldn’t be all spit,” said Kimberly Perry, who recently got engaged. “We had to show a little bit of the vulnerability side of what we do. We definitely have that sense of being the underdog of snapping our fingers but also, we really wore our hearts on our sleeve more than ever before. ‘Don’t Let Me Be Lonely’ has one of my favorite melodies on the whole project. It sounds big but the lyrics are so small in the sense that they’re so personal, so vulnerable.”

The Band Perry will perform “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely” along with a number of their other hit singles when they kick off their We Are Pioneers World Tour November 8 with a five-week run in Europe. The North American leg will begin in January.
