Jason Aldean will hold his eighth annual “Concert for the Cure” on Friday, October 25 in New Orleans. Throughout the year, Jason sets aside 50 cents of each concert ticket sold then selects one city on his tour schedule in October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, to donate all proceeds to that city’s local Susan G. Komen Affiliate.
“Last year the Komen New Orleans team needed a little over $1 million to meet all their needs, but they were only able to fund about half of that,” Jason said. “If we raise the half a million that we did last year in Dallas we’ll be able to help these women meet their goal and provide the services the town needs. I can’t wait to see an arena full of pink in support of such a great cause!”
Susan G. Komen works to end breast cancer in the U.S. and throughout the world by investing more than $790 million in breast cancer research and $1.5 billion in community outreach programs over the past 30 years, providing funding to help low-income and uninsured women get screened and get treatment, advocating for cancer research and outreach programs and working globally in more than 30 countries.
Jason’s latest single, “Night Train,” is sitting at No. 1 for the second straight week and is the 12th No. 1 of his career.
