The Band Perry will kick off their We Are Pioneers Tour in Europe on November 8. The trio plans to incorporate a lot of what they have learned from all the headliners they toured with, including Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts and Brad Paisley. Some of the most important lessons they learned will be put to good use offstage.

“I remember Tim McGraw was so present backstage and he taught us a lot about running a classy tour,” said Kimberly. “We’d always been a fan of Tim McGraw ‘The Artist’ but we became a fan of him as a human being.”

Kimberly also recalls how Brad Paisley bent over backwards to keep things interesting and fun on the road for his opening acts, band and crew. “It was like summer camp all the time,” she said. “He really was big on keeping tour morale high, so in every town he would find a different little party for after the show.”

Ultimately, they took away from every act they toured with how important it is to be a good host. “They each had their way of making everybody feel welcome on tour and really keeping the backstage fun,” Kimberly said. “It’s important when you’re doing fifty dates out on the road, so I think we learned a lot, for sure.”

The Band Perry will kick off the North American leg of their tour in January. Their latest single, “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely,” is at radio now.
