JT Hodges will star in a made-for-television holiday movie, Finding Christmas. The movie, which also stars Tricia Helfer, Mark Lutz and Cristina Rosato, will premiere on the Hallmark Channel on Sunday, December 15 at 8/7c. In conjunction with the movie, JT will release his rendition of “Joy to the World” to iTunes on November 5.

“I’ve always loved performance art period,” JT said. “It was choir and musicals in High School and then on to theatre and television studies in College. I’ve always been passionate about cinema, as a viewer and an actor. Names like Paul Newman, Robin Williams, Oliver Stone and Steven Spielberg will always have my praise. Being able to work on this movie with Hallmark Channel was an amazing experience and opportunity for me. I’m very thankful and excited that all of my fans now get to see another side of my artistry.”

Finding Christmas follows single mother Ryan, played by Tricia Helfer, who has given up on dating after her divorce and accepted her young son as the most important man in her life. Everything changes when, after a bad breakup, her brother Owen, played by JT, swaps his home in their small North Carolina town with New York City adman Sean, played by Mark Lutz.

Ryan instantly feels a spark with her new neighbor but Sean, who signed up for the home swap after a proposal gone wrong, is out of his comfort zone in his rural surroundings. He quickly discovers that taking chances with Ryan may be his key to happiness. Meanwhile Owen, an aspiring musician, begins to fall for Sean’s assistant Mina, played by Cristina Rosato. Owen performs “Joy to the World” during an open-mic night at a New York City club with Mina’s encouragement. As the home swap draws to a close, relationships are up in the air as they find out if their love is true.
