Kacey Musgraves has released her new single “Follow Your Arrow” to country radio. Co-wrote by Kacey, Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally, it is the third single from her debut album, Same Trailer Different Park. It is about living life without fear of judgment.

“I couldn’t be more proud of creating ‘Follow Your Arrow,’” Kacey said. “Sonically and musically it’s where my head’s at right now, and I’m really enjoying connecting with people all over the world that agree. It’s a positive anthem for all of us and I’m so excited to be sharing it with everyone.”

The song has struck a chord with a number of fans, but especially affecting parents of teenage girls who connect with its positive message. “I’m just really, really happy that people everywhere are seeming to really love it,” she said. “I have parents coming up to me all the time saying, ‘Thank you so much for writing this song. My 13-year-old daughter is singing it, and I couldn’t be more proud of her accepting everyone.’”

Kacey will join Katy Perry, Sarah Bareilles, Ellie Goulding and Tegan & Sara on Katy Perry’s We Can Survive Hollywood Bowl Charity Show on October 23. Proceeds from the benefit will go towards the Young Survival Coalition, an organization that helps young women with breast cancer. She is currently headlining her Same Trailer Different Tour and will join Lady Antebellum’s Take Me Downtown Tour in January 2014.
