Thomas Rhett is celebrating his first-ever No. 1 single as an artist. “It Goes Like This” topped the Billboard Country Chart this week and continues to be one of the top-selling songs on the iTunes Country Singles Chart. It is featured on his debut album, It Goes Like This, set for release on October 29.

“I am so humbled and honored to have a No. 1 at country radio with this song,” Thomas said. “The response from fans and radio has been overwhelming. This is just one of those very special songs. The moment I heard it I knew it would be a game changer. It has been incredible to hear people singing the words back to me from the audience every night.”

Thomas previously topped the charts as a songwriter, co-writing Florida Georgia Line’s two-week No. 1 “’Round Here.” With “It Goes Like This” topping the charts, he’s looking forward to releasing his debut album.

“Putting out a first record is something you only do once,” he said. “I think we finally have the single that is gonna spur sales and hopefully a bunch of people will want to buy it and wanna learn the words to it and come to our shows and sing their lungs out.”
