Justin Moore kicked off his second headlining tour, the Off the Beaten Path Tour, on Friday. He’s excited for the opportunity to headline once again after a successful Outlaws Like Me run earlier this year.
“When we did our first one, I kinda had an idea of what we might go do but you don’t really know ‘til you go do it,” he said. “It was nerve-wracking and scary and exciting. It kinda exceeded our expectations and because of that, we thought, ‘Ok, we better step it up. We’re gonna play some bigger arenas now.’”
Justin has indeed stepped things up for this tour, right down to who he brought along as special guests. “We stepped up the production, the quality of the show,” he said. “No disrespect to who we had out with us last time, but to have Randy Houser out with us, who’s as hot as anybody right now and Josh Thompson, who has some great new music coming that I’ve heard, I think it’s gonna be great.”
He’s also looking forward to the chance to hang out with Randy and Josh while on the road. “We’re all really good friends,” he said. “We’ve known each other for a while. I think we have a mutual respect between all of us. It’s gonna be a lot of fun and I think it’s gonna be mutually beneficial to all three of us.”
Justin just released his new single, “Lettin’ the Night Roll,” to country radio.
