Great American Country to Re-Air The 47th Annual CMA Awards November 16

If you missed the CMA Awards tonight — you’re in luck! Great American Country is the only place to relive the incredible star power, amazing performances and emotional moments from The 47th Annual CMA Awards when the network re-airs tonight’s telecast Saturday, November 16 at 9/8c.

Broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena and co-hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, the three-hour special features performances by Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Paisley and Underwood as well as Alan Jackson and George Strait performing a tribute to George Jones; Taylor Swift joined by Vince Gill and Alison Krauss; Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert; Hunter Hayes and Jason Mraz and Zac Brown Band with Dave Grohl. As this year’s recipient of the Willie Nelson Career Achievement Award, Kenny Rogers is lauded with performances by Jennifer Nettles, Rascal Flatts and Darius Rucker.

“Our viewers know they can find the best and brightest original country music programs on Great American Country,” said Sarah Trahern, general manager and senior vice president of Great American Country. “From exclusive red carpet arrivals in our CMA Awards Red Carpet Live special to performances by some amazing musical collaborations, this year’s CMA Awards is a real gift for fans of great music.” Since 2007 Great American Country has been the cable home for CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock, the concert special resulting from Nashville’s annual CMA Fest.

CMA Awards Red Carpet Live leads into the CMA Awards at 8/7c and features Great American Country hosts Suzanne AlexanderNan Kelley and Storme Warren in the center of it all, catching up with many of the evening’s top contenders and performers.

“The CMA Awards special joins other popular country music-themed awards shows on Great American Country,” offered Trahern. “We have a history of re-airing the Academy of Country Music Awards and the recently-launched American Country Awards. Having the CMA Awards on the network reinforces to our viewers and fans of the music that Great American Country is the reliable destination for country music’s biggest, all-star events.”
