Florida Georgia Line had a big night at the CMA Awards earlier this month, picking up trophies for both Vocal Duo of the Year and Single of the Year for their smash hit “Cruise.” Up next for the duo is a performance at the American Music Awards on November 24 where they are also nominated for four awards, including the all-genre New Artist Award.
“We’re really excited about the AMAs,” Brian Kelley said. “It’s an awards show that we’ve been watching for years.” They are also looking forward to catching up with friends in other genres such as Ed Sheeran, whom they met while on tour with Taylor Swift.
“I know we’re excited to hang out with Ed Sheeran,” Brian said. “We had a good time with him on the Taylor Swift tour, and to meet back up with him and some of our other friends, it’s a fun night. Win or lose we’re definitely gonna celebrate and it’s definitely gonna be a very surreal experience to be back and to be nominated.”
The duo’s latest single, “Stay,” is climbing the charts at country radio. The American Music Awards will air live on Sunday, November 24 at 8/7c on ABC. See all nominees >>
