With Thanksgiving just days away, Tracy Lawrence is set to host his 8th Annual “Mission Possible” Turkey Fry on Tuesday, November 26 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to benefit the Nashville Rescue Mission. Launched in 2006, the Turkey Fry has brought in close to 6,500 turkeys and provided more than 40,000 meals to help the Nashville Rescue Mission feed the homeless in Middle Tennessee.
“The Nashville Rescue Mission is a blessing to our community,” Tracy said. “Each year I am humbled by the outpouring of support from friends who give their time to be part of the Turkey Fry. This special day allows us the opportunity to help raise awareness of the great services the Mission provides every day to the homeless and those in need.”
Each year, Tracy’s friends from the entertainment and sports industries show up to help, preparing food and frying turkeys. This year, NFL Titans players Rob Bironas, Andy Lavitre, and the Titans Cheerleaders will be on hand support the cause as well as other famous friends.
The event is free and open to the public, though donations are appreciated. If you can’t make it, follow @NashvilleRescue on Twitter and LIKE the Mission’s Facebook page for photos of your favorite celebrities frying turkeys.
