Taylor Swift kicked off the Australian leg of the Red Tour on November 29 in Auckland, New Zealand. On December 4, she will begin a series of stadium dates that will take her through Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne.
“I’m so excited about playing stadiums in Australia,” she said. “We’ve been going over there for a few years now and touring and last year with the stadium tour that we did, in Australia, I think we all had a feeling that things had been going well there. They’ve just been really supportive. Australia has been one most fun places we’ve ever toured, so going back over there to do stadiums is not difficult.”
Besides bringing her music to her Australian fans, she’s also looking forward to the weather, as its summertime in Australia. “It’ll also be a great way to spend the end of the year,” she said. “It’s been such a incredible year for touring, so ending the year in December in Australia when it’s 85 degrees there is not gonna be bad.”
After Taylor wraps up her Austrian dates on December 14, she will take a break from touring for the holidays before heading to Europe in February 2014 for five shows at London’s O2 Arena and a stop at O2 World in Berlin.
