Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw were country music’s big winners at Wednesday night’s People’s Choice Awards. The show aired live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles and gave fans the chance to vote for their favorite performers in music, television and the movies.
Taylor was named Favorite Country Artist, nominated alongside The Band Perry, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and Lady Antebellum. Fans voted Tim as their Favorite Country Icon. Alan Jackson, George Strait, Toby Keith and Willie Nelson were also nominated in the category.
Lucy Hale, who debuted her first country music video, “You Sound Good To Me,” earlier this week, was named Favorite Cable TV Actress for her role as Aria Montgomery on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars. The Voice, which features Blake Shelton as a coach, was voted Favorite Competition TV Show. Brad Paisley was on hand to perform his new single, “The Mona Lisa,” during the show.
