Eli Young Band will release their new album, 10,000 Towns, on March 4. The project will feature their latest No. 1 hit, “Drunk Last Night,” which has been certified Gold with sales of more than 600,000 to date.
“To still be making music and going through the craziness of life together is something we’d only dreamed of when we met back in college,” Mike Eli said. “This album shows another chapter in our lives as a band, as husbands, as fathers and as individuals that we’re really excited to share with our amazing fans.”
When Mike thinks back to those music-filled college days, he has some advice for current students. “Something I think I might have done right in college, was the first two years I made sure that I went to every class, I studied hard and I did well my first two years,” he said. “The last two years were a little bit more of a struggle, but luckily because I did so well my first two years my GPA was still pretty solid.
“Hit it hard in the beginning as much as you can,” he continued. “Then once you get to a certain place it’s OK to kinda take a breather. I wish I would’ve not been looking forward so much instead of living in the moment, ‘cause college was a really fun experience and I think sometimes you forget to just kinda stop and enjoy it.”
