George Strait is currently in the middle of final leg of his The Cowboy Rides Away Tour. While he still has a few months to go before wrapping his tour and is enjoying traveling the country to play for his fans one last time, he sees a tropical vacation in his future.
“I’m going somewhere,” he said. “I don’t know where, but I’m going somewhere to celebrate. I haven’t been to Hawaii in years, so I would love to see it again and try to find my old house over there and all that stuff. And I want to go back to scope the Army barracks and see all the old spots where I used to hang out. I’m gonna do a lot of things.”
George will wrap his final tour at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas with an all-star lineup, including Jason, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow, Ronnie Dunn, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and Lee Ann Womack, who will each play three songs. Asleep At The Wheel will be the opening act for the concert.
