Gary Allan topped the charts last year with his hit “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain).” He co-wrote the song with Matt Warren and Hillary Lindsey and is pleased it is still resonating with fans. The track is nominated for Song of the Year at the ACM Awards.

“It’s really cool just to be acknowledged as a writer, especially for that song,” Gary said. “That song is a lot of firsts for me. It was first time I’d written a No. 1, first time I’d produced, first time I’d produced something with my band, so there was a lot of personal things that went into that.”

Gary’s latest single, “It Ain’t the Whiskey,” is at country radio. The ACM Awards will air live on CBS on April 6 at 8/7c. Visit our special ACM Awards section for photos, videos and more from ACM Awards past and to get a preview of this year’s event!

Be sure to tune in to Great American Country at 6:30/5:30c before the ACM Awards to see all the stars live from the ACM Awards Red Carpet!
