Brantley Gilbert refers to his fans as “BG Nation” and knows they are dedicated, many having followed his career since his early days playing bars in Georgia. As cliché as it may sound, Brantley considers his fans to be more like friends.
“The people that really support us, they know they’re not on the outside looking in, they’re actually a part of something, and they’re a huge part of what we do,” he said. “I don’t consider ‘em fans, I consider ‘em friends, that’s the honest to God truth. I know you hear that a lot, but a friend’s somebody that knows you and supports you. They’re spending money on tickets, merchandise, CDs, to come see us. If that’s not support, I don’t know what is.”
Brantley is currently headlining his Let It Ride Tour. He will release his new album, Just As I Am, featuring his latest hit, “Bottoms Up,” on May 19.
