Country music fans from all over the world are Nashville-bound this week for CMA Music Festival. Set for June 5-8 in downtown Nashville, the festival features hours of live music and numerous opportunities for fans to get up close and personal with their favorite stars. As much as fans look forward to the event each year, country artists get excited about it too.
“Music Fest is like nothing else,” Darius Rucker said. “I say all the time that country music is the only genre that could have something like that. It’s truly amazing. When I come that weekend, people are everywhere, and they want to be your best friend. It’s always cool, and I love coming here.”
“I love it!” Keith Urban said. “It’s like summer camp. I mean, it is! It’s just a chance to obviously see a lot of people I don’t normally see. It’s just palpable. Since Fan Fair, it’s just been that sort of week-plus of energy. The whole town just explodes and what it is we love about this genre and the community aspect of it. I always love it.”
