Alan Jackson has announced his 25th Anniversary Tour. He was joined by several key people in his career at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on Thursday morning to make the announcement, which was emceed by radio personality Gerry House. Alan assures fans this is not a farewell tour.
“I don’t know what I’d retire from — I don’t work much now,” he said, adding that he plans to tour well into his later years. The 25th Anniversary Tour will kick off in the spring of 2015. Dates have not been announced.
Additionally, to help celebrate Alan’s 25th year, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will launch an exhibit devoted to his career on August 29. The exhibit will focus on telling the story of his life in country music and will feature many of Alan’s personal items and memorabilia. Alan will serve as the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Artist in Residence, performing special concerts at the venue on October 8 and October 22.
Alan also revealed that he’s working on new music that will coincide with his 25th Anniversary Tour.
