Miranda Lambert’s resumé keeps on growing. In addition to being a country music superstar, she also runs The Pink Pistol, a gift and novelty store with locations in Texas and Oklahoma, and recently launched her own line of shoes at DSW. Now, she is opening a bed and breakfast called Ladysmith, located across from her Pink Pistol store in Tishomingo, Okla.
“I bought the building across the street from the Pink Pistol in Tishomingo,” Miranda said. “It was built in 1901, so it’s been over a year of renovations. It is a bed and breakfast but it’s also an events center, so you can rent it for weddings and showers and private parties and all kinds of stuff. But it does have eight rooms.”
Miranda will have help running her new venture, admitting that the hospitality industry isn’t exactly in her wheelhouse. “I have no idea what I’m doing,” she said. “I don’t know how to run a bed and breakfast or anything about it. But it’s too beautiful of a building not to restore.”
As for when the Ladysmith will open, Miranda isn’t sure. “I’m not setting a date because I don’t want to set myself up for failure,” she said. “But it’s really beautiful and I think it’s going to be so much fun for people.”
Miranda recently released her new album, Platinum. Her latest single, “Somethin’ Bad,” featuring Carrie Underwood, is at radio now.
