Carrie Underwood and Sunday Night Football Theme Come to Theaters

Carrie Underwood is coming to a theater near you. A new preview of NBC’s Sunday Night Football theme hits theaters on July 25. The clip gives a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the theme, featuring Underwood and NFL stars. Underwood also performs “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” during the two-and-a-half minute spot.

NBC Sports announced the news during their presentation at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour in Los Angeles on Monday. The cinema promo will air in over 19,000 AMC, Cinemark and Regal theaters nationwide. This is the second season of Underwood performing the song, set to Joan Jett’s “I Hate Myself for Loving You.”

Underwood is currently in the studio working on her next studio album. No additional details have been released.
