Jason Aldean has released the lead single from his upcoming sixth studio album. “Burnin’ It Down” was cowritten by Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line, along with Chris Tompkins and Rodney Clawson.

“Sonically, this track definitely feels like something different for me and what I have typically put out as the lead single off my previous albums,” he said. “I’ve pretty much always gone with a really guitar-driven song that’s pretty in your face, and this is more of a laid-back thing with a really cool groove.”

Aldean debuted the song at his show in Cleveland on July 18.  “We played it live for the first time this weekend in Cleveland and Cincy at the stadium gigs, and I’m excited to see how it takes off from here,” he said. “There are some different things on this new album, and I hope this sets a good tone for what’s to come.”

“Burnin’ It Down” is at country radio and available for download on iTunes. Aldean is currently headlining his Burn It Down Tour with special guests Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr. Aldean’s new album is expected out before the end of 2014.
