The LogHeads Visit Knott’s Berry Farm

To prepare for Camp Snoopy‘s 30th birthday celebration, Knott’s Berry Farm asked the stars of Great American Country’s series LogHeads to outfit the theme park in custom-made Rocky Top Log Furniture. The main restaurant at Camp Snoopy, in Grizzly Creek Lodge, needs a major renovation.

In tonight’s new episode of LogHeads, which airs at 9 p.m. ET, Tommy and Gwen Mitchell travel to the theme park, where he and his team build 90 chairs, 41 tables, 38 benches, two buffets and a custom hall tree bench. Don’t worry, the LogHeads also spent some downtime exploring the park.

“We had a lot of fun doing this project,” said Tommy Mitchell. “I changed that chair design five times.”

The Mitchells rode on Camp Snoopy‘s famous log flume ride, the Timber Mountain Log Ride, an appropriate attraction for the LogHeads. They were also joined by special guests at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Lodge — Peanuts characters Snoopy, Charlie Brown and Lucy.

“We are so pleased with the quality and craftsmanship of the LogHeads, and the design Tommy and Gwen brought perfectly reflects the spirit of the Grizzly Creek Lodge,” said Russ Knibbs, vice president of food and beverage for Knott’s Berry Farm. “Having this partnership, featured within an episode of LogHeads on Great American Country, is a perfect way to celebrate Camp Snoopy’s 30th.”
