Blake Shelton, a native Oklahoman, and wife Miranda Lambert who now calls Oklahoma home, sent well wishes through Twitter. “Just landed in LA and hearing about all the tornados in Oklahoma right now… Get somewhere safe!!!” Blake tweeted. “Pray. See photos from their wedding in our Country Weddings gallery >>

Miranda wore her mother’s dress for the ceremony. “My parents have been married for 33 years, so this dress is already a good-luck charm,” she told Us Weekly. Under the dress, Miranda wore custom-made Casadei cowboy boots. She changed into a shorter dress for the reception. Her bridesmaids wore Old Gringo boots and custom-made gowns by Priscilla of Boston’s Mark Brower.

As the wedding party took their places, Blake sang a song he’d written for the wedding called “Let’s Grow Old Together.” Bridesmaid and fellow Pistol Annie member Ashley Monroe sang “Makin’ Plans,” a song Miranda wrote for Blake that appears on her Revolution album. “I was thinking about not crying, then when I got close, I didn’t think of anyone else,” Miranda told Us Weekly. “It was just me and Blake.”

Today the lovebirds tweeted to each other. “Hey @mirandalambert…. Happy Anniversary pretty baby,” posted Blake.

“Thanks for a great 2…well 8 years!” replied Miranda, in reference to the 6 years they’d dated before marrying.

Miranda Lambert has scored her fifth No. 1 single with “Mama’s Broken Heart.” She knew she wanted to record the track, written by Kacey Musgraves, Shane McAnally and Brandy Clark, the moment she heard it.

“The reason I love this song is because it’s about how sometimes when you get your heart broken, you kinda go a little bit crazy,” she said. “You drink too much, you smoke too much, you cut your hair … you find a rebound. Sometimes your mama, if she’s like my mama, has to slap you around and say, ‘Straighten up, girl!’” Continue Reading
