Miranda Lambert’s Signature “Randarita” Cocktail Recipe

Miranda Lambert is pretty low maintenance when it comes to her favorite mixed drink. Instead of a fancy cocktail or even an expensive bottle of wine, she reaches for a “Randarita,” her signature drink. The vodka drink is made with sugar-free Crystal Light®, which keeps it low in calories.

“My trainer, Bill, approves,” Lambert said. “I mean, he’d rather me not drink, but that’s not an option. I have one before a show and a half during. Later, if I want to throw down, I throw down!”

Plus, host Nan Kelley headed to Gatlinburg, Tenn., a popular family vacation destination. She ventured into the heart of the town to shop and dine, and took in the beautiful views of the Great Smoky Mountains with a visit to the famed Space Needle, towering 400 feet in the air. She also took a ride on the Aerial Tram at Ober Gatlinburg and visited a family-favorite destination, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, before wrapping the day with chips, salsa and a cocktail on the balcony at Loco Burro.

George Strait Announces The Cowboy Rides Away Live Album

George Strait has hung up his cowboy hat on his touring career, but he is giving fans a chance to relive his The Cowboy Rides Away farewell tour with a live album, recorded during his record-breaking final show in Arlington, Texas. The Cowboy Rides Away: Live From AT&T Stadium will hit stores September 16.

The album will feature a number of Strait’s 60 No. 1 hits, as well as performances with special guests Jason Aldean, Ray Benson, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert and Martina McBride. Miranda Lambert Reveals First-Ever Playable Poster

Miranda Lambert is adding an innovative component to her Platinum Tour. She has partnered with tour sponsor, Crystal Light, and the UK based company Novalia to create the first-ever Playable Poster. Fans will be able to spin Lambert’s records and unlock different tracks by simply touching the poster.

“I’m always thrilled to introduce new ways for my fans to interact with my music,” Lambert told NewsOK. “What better way to kick off the Platinum Tour than with my favorite brand, Crystal Light, and [offer] a fun, unique way for concert-goers to enjoy my album.” Continue Reading

Miranda Lambert is Working on a Big Screen Comedy

Is Miranda Lambert headed to the big screen? Possibly. She is collaborating on Something in the Water, a female-led comedy script penned by director Trey Fanjoy and screenwriter Cindy McCreery. The project, described as Bridesmaids meets Steel Magnolias, is a “multigenerational piece set in the heartland.”

The movie centers around five women who challenge their men in a bass fishing competition. If all goes well, Lambert will be taking on one of the roles. Lambert has exercised her acting chops previously in a guest role on NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Continue Reading
