Tim McGraw

Father’s Day is this Sunday and some of country music’s biggest stars also happen to have a soft spot for the women in their life – namely, their daughters. Tim McGraw has three daughters with wife Faith Hill. In a household full of women, he has learned a thing or two.

“I think that probably the biggest thing that I’m still always working on is having a house full of women is learning patience,” he said. “I’ve never been a very patient person so I think either I’m getting mellower with age or they’re teaching me patience. It’s one or the other. I’m not sure which one it is. Probably a combination of both.” Continue Reading

8 New Country Songs and Albums for Summer

Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert

It was a long, cold and often snowy winter for most of the country, but with the official start of summer just around the corner, people everywhere are trading their heavy coats and gloves for shorts and flip-flops. Now that the weather is warming up, it’s time to update those playlists with some hot new country music. Here are some of our new music picks, just in time for Memorial Day weekend:

Brad Paisley – “Riverbank”

Brad just released the lead single from his upcoming album, Moonshine In The Trunk, due out August 26. Whether sitting poolside, headed to the beach or hanging out by the river bank, this song is sure to get listeners in the mood for sunshine and good times.

Lady Antebellum – “Bartender”

Lady Antebellum’s new single, “Bartender,” is a breakup anthem with a twist. Rather than sitting at home and drowning in her sorrows, Hillary Scott is singing about hitting the dance floor and making friends with the bartender to move on from a failed relationship.

Miranda Lambert & Carrie Underwood – “Somethin’ Bad”

The two country powerhouses come together on this sassy duet, throwing aside their good-girl personas to skip out on a wedding, take the money from under their mattresses and head down to New Orleans to cause some trouble. The song is featured on Miranda’s new album, Platinum. Continue Reading
