Happy hour just got happier for country fans. Uncle Kracker, whose “Smile” video is currently at No. 11 on GAC’s Top 20 Country Countdown, plans to release a new six-song country-centered album June 22.
Titled Happy Hour: The South River Road Sessions, the project features reimagined versions of songs that originally appeared on last year’s Happy Hour album. That includes a country version of “Smile,” which was certified platinum on April 16 after selling one million digital copies.
“You know, Detroit has been the home of some great people,” said Martina McBride during her recent concert in the Motor City. “And Detroit has been the home of some bad asses too,” she said with a smile before introducing special guest Kid Rock. The two sang Kid Rock’s song, “Picture,” which he’s previously performed with Sheryl Crow and Allison Moorer — and also did the Kid Rock hit, “All Summer Long.” Click below to watch the performances!
