Laura Bell Bundy to Host Country Weekly Fashion Show

Laura Bell Bundy will host the Fifth Annual Country Weekly Fashion Show & Concert, Tuesday, June 7 at 9 p.m. at Nashville’s Rocketown. She will also perform during the show along with previously announced Joe Nichols and Steel Magnolia. GAC’s own Suzanne Alexander will emcee the show.

“I am thrilled to participate in this awesome event and to share the stage with one of my favorite people, Suzanne Alexander,” Laura Bell said. “I am excited to perform for the fans and can’t wait to watch my friends strut their stuff. Joe Nichols & Steel Magnolia to Headline Country Weekly Fashion Show

Joe Nichols and Steel Magnolia are set to headline the Fifth Annual Country Weekly Fashion Show & Concert. The event, which will be emceed by GAC’s Suzanne Alexander, takes place  June 7 at Nashville’s Rocketown and will benefit Musicians On Call, an organization that brings live and recorded music to patients in healthcare facilities.

“The Country Weekly Fashion Show is a fun way to kick off CMA Music Fest,” Joe said. “Music fans can sit back, relax and see their favorite artists doing something a little different. Tracy Lawrence Fries Up Help For Those In Need!

Here’s yet another incredible example of how country music artists continue to give back to their community and help those in need…

Tracy Lawrence along with some famous Music City friends, MTSU students, local media and volunteers from the Nashville Rescue Mission joined together on Tuesday, November 23 for the 5th Annual Tracy Lawrence Mission Possible. Held for the benefit of the Nashville Rescue Mission, the philanthropic group—comprised of over 100 volunteers—fried-up turkeys for the meal kitchen’s Thanksgiving dinner and Wilson County’s homeless.

Some of Music City’s biggest and brightest names gathered to cook and visit with volunteers and fans. Joining the Master of Ceremonies, Tracy Lawrence, in the “group fry” were his friends in music and entertainment: Brad Arnold (Three Doors Down,) GAC’s Suzanne Alexander, Bo Bice, Burns & Poe, Chelsea Field, Matt Gary, LoCash Cowboys, Lathan Moore, Lorrie Morgan, Danielle Peck, Matt Kennon, The Roys, radio personalities Big D & Bubba and the Titans Cheerleaders. Catwalk Craziness at the Country Weekly Fashion Show

They’re always fashionable, but on Monday, June 8, stars including Clay Walker, Pam Tillis and Bucky Covington amped up their style even more at the 4th Annual Country Weekly Fashion Show and Concert, raising more than $20,000 for Musicians On Call.

The event was hosted by Clay and emcee’d by GAC’s own Suzanne Alexander, and also featured Luke Bryan and Joe Nichols along with models including Pam, Bucky, Bo Bice, Aaron and Thea Tippin, Trailer Choir, Katie Armiger, Sarah Darling, Whitney Duncan, Danielle Peck and others. See photos here >>

Rodney Atkins, Joe Nichols & Others Kick Off CMA Music Fest with Parade, Block Party

Chevy: The Official Ride of Country Music will help kick off the 2010 CMA Music Festival on June 9 with “The Sixth Annual CMA Music Festival Kick-Off Parade” at 11:30 a.m. Central through the streets of downtown Nashville.

Brenda Lee will serve as Grand Marshal and other artists participating in the parade include Lynn Anderson, Katie Armiger, Rodney Atkins, The Band Perry, Bo Bice, Ash Bowers, Carter Twins, Jeff Cook, Diana DeGarmo, Fast Ryde, Colt Ford, Brantley Gilbert, Gloriana, Josh Gracin, The Grascals, The Harters, Buddy Jewell, KingBilly, Jesse Lee, LoCash Cowboys, Lonestar, Jerrod Niemann, James Otto, Danielle Peck, Point of Grace, Marty Raybon, Pam Tillis, Trent Tomlinson, and Chuck Wicks. Willie Nelson, Taylor Swift, Johnny Cash: Country Stars at Auction

There are plenty of ways to meet the Christmas gift wishes of country music fans in 2010: new Christmas albums from Sugarland, Richie McDonald and John Cowan; concert tickets for one of the coming year’s summer festivals; or maybe a Keith Urban fundraising calendar.

But if you want to go the extra mile — and you’ve got bucks to spend — you might want to consider something that’s been signed, or previously owned, by a country star. Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift and Johnny Cash are among numerous artists represented at auction this month, with the proceeds in most instances going to a worthy charity.

Some are online, some require you to show up in person, and the most expensive one is already completed. But here are some reasons to do a friend’s “bidding” for Christmas:

The Hottest Women In Country Music…

When the GACTV.com staff heard that the popular men’s magazine Maxim decided to put out a list of the “Hottest Women of Country Music,”  I reluctantly stepped forward to do some research.  It’s a tough job but somebody has to do it.  So off I went to Maxim.com to review the list, presented in the form of a photo gallery.   The list was comprised of a total of 19 women. The gallery appears to be in random order and not in any formal order or rank of  “hotness.”  No surprises for me, but I can tell you I think they left more than a couple of deserving ladies off the list… Continue Reading
