Lots of people are debating the merits of different Mother’s Day gifts: flowers versus a nice dinner, clothing versus chocolate.

Miranda Lambert brought her mom, Bev, a rather unique gift for Sunday. The two share the focus of a Mother’s Day story in the new edition of Country Weekly.

Most people will tell you they owe their mothers a lot, but in Miranda’s case, the debt extends directly to her success as a recording artist. Bev believed in Miranda from the very beginning, and she demonstrated it with her actions.

Don’t miss Kellie Pickler‘s appearance on this weekend’s episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Sunday on ABC at 8 p.m. Eastern. Kellie went to Beavercreek, Ohio and helped the James Terpenning family. James is a wheelchair sports champion and also mentors disabled Iraqi War veterans.

Trace Adkins Helps Rebuild Wounded Officer’s Home

Trace Adkins will be on ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on Sunday, Oct. 18 at 8 p.m. ET helping to rebuild the home of a police officer who was shot on duty.

Trace went to Lancaster, Texas to meet Carlton Marshall, who lost most of his mobility and all of his hearing after being shot while leading a Dallas Police Department SWAT team. During the show, Carlton and his wife, Susan, a homicide detective, learn that their home will be rebuilt in seven days, solving structural and accessibility issues. The new home enables the Marshalls to continue their longtime volunteer work with horseback riding therapy for children and adults with mental and physical challenges.  Continue Reading
