GAC’s Top 20 Summer Party Videos

You might say the hottest summer videos are “B”-rated: Beer, Bikinis and Boats. Sure, Kenny Chesney and Alan Jackson have nearly cornered the market, but we wanted to share the summer love so we dug a little deeper into the sand and came up with this list. In no particular order, here are the Top 20 Summer Party Videos! If you don’t see your favorite on the list, let us know by leaving a comment below!

“Redneck Yacht Club” – Craig Morgan

YouTube Preview Image
You might be a redneck if you wear jeans to go boating… but who cares! You’ll want to be one if you get in on this party. Morgan and all his buddies are fishing, boating and drinking in this “floatin’ trailer park” at Percy Priest Lake near Nashville. Keep your eye out for Aaron Tippin on a wave runner and Blake Shelton (circa long hair) fishing off the dock. Don’t miss the final scene when Morgan channels a redneck Evel Knievel and drives a four-wheeler into the lake.

“Summer Nights” – Rascal Flatts

YouTube Preview Image
The band takes a break from bedazzled jeans and serious stares and turns this video over to the fans. Yeah! Shot in Pismo Beach, CA, the clip features some good time karaoke by the bonfire and a dune buggy on steroids. “Holler if you’re ready for some summer nights!”

“Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off” – Joe Nichols

YouTube Preview Image
Um, did someone forget to mention Joe Nichols’ grandma lives at the Playboy Mansion? Enough said.

Out Last Night” – Kenny Chesney

YouTube Preview Image
With suntanned girls in cocktail dresses dancing poolside, this “buddies-drinking-too-much-beer” song takes a sophisticated spin. Shot on location in Miami, it’s not hard to believe that Kenny Chesney would throw the hottest pool party of all time.

“All Summer Long” – Kid Rock

YouTube Preview Image
This is summer Kid Rock style… an ungodly large gold chain and a whole lot of pole dancing. But when “Sweet Home Alabama” meets “Werewolves of London,” it can’t be all bad. This was his first country hit and it’s summertime after all, so just sing along and let that redneck freak flag fly.

“Chattahoochee” – Alan Jackson

YouTube Preview Image
A true classic, you’ll never see Alan Jackson having more fun than water skiing in his ripped-up jeans. How does he keep that cowboy hat on? I’m not sure if the best part is when he goes for a flip and doesn’t land it – ouch! – or when he’s tubing in his red boots. Either way, you can’t help but sing along.

“Boys In The Summer” – Jessie James

YouTube Preview Image
Remember that cute little kid down the street who set up a lemonade stand one hot summer day? Um well, this is sort of like that… except in this video, 25 cents will get you a cold drink and some dirty dancing by the bonfire. You go, Jessie. “Boys look hotter in the summer!”

“Barefoot And Crazy” – Jack Ingram

YouTube Preview Image
I double dog dare you not to have your toes tapping by the end of this video. Filmed in Jack’s home state of Texas, there’s a party at Barton Springs and anyone with a bikini is invited.

“When The Sun Goes Down” – Kenny Chesney & Uncle Kracker

Sure this easy breezy video has gorgeous sunsets and beautiful girls in grass skirts, but the part that will really make you smile is watching Kenny and Kracker dance. Shot in south Florida, it’s a No. 1 hit that gets into your head and makes you feel good all day long. Looks like the video was pulled from YouTube, but we still love the song!

“Summer’s Comin’” – Clint Black

YouTube Preview Image
Clint Black singing on the beach in his … um, is that a one-piece Speedo? Well, remember it’s the ‘90s. That’s a younger and much hairier Howie Mandel who’s scouring the beach for a beautiful blonde. And those famous faces under the wigs are a who’s who from Jay Leno to Dick Clark. You can also spot David Hasselhoff (can you say “Baywatch” glory days), as well as Black’s wife Lisa Hartman Black and ‘90s heartthrob Joey Lawrence.

“Water” – Brad Paisley

YouTube Preview Image
Mix a summer episode of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” with an in-pool performance by Brad and his band and you get four minutes of fun. Well, except maybe for that poor guy who gets flung around like a rag doll from a giant excavator. Yikes! Brad’s back flip into the water is impressive. The shot of the hefty guy losing his drawers as he gets out of the water, not so much. Oh yeah, and don’t miss the guy knee boarding behind a horse.

“All I Want To Do” – Sugarland

YouTube Preview Image
Back in ’08 all Country fans wanted to do was sing along to this feel good ditty. And it’s still fun. Jennifer Nettles, an east coast native, almost looks like a California girl surfing the waves and dancing in her bikini. Another fun performance by Sugarland.

“No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems” – Kenny Chesney

YouTube Preview Image
“It’s a way of life,” Kenny says of “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems.” So let your worries melt away as you listen to this mellow melody and kick back with Kenny in a chair on the beach. Looks like he and his friends are having a great time, and you will too.

“Stays In Mexico” – Toby Keith

YouTube Preview Image
What happens in Mexico stays in Mexico – and it’s a good thing since a man and woman – both married to other people – have a tequila fueled affair in this video. Seriously, how do you expect her to resist a guy in a rainbow-striped Speedo? Toby’s having too much fun singing about “things the devil himself wouldn’t do.”

“Summertime Blues” – Alan Jackson

YouTube Preview Image
Jacked up trucks four-wheeling in a muddy field and a bunch of shirtless guys in overalls – this is Alan Jackson’s heyday. He even manages to get in on a little mud wrestling…well, sort of. This early ‘90s hit will be a go-to summer song for years to come.

“Six-Pack Summer” – Phil Vassar

YouTube Preview Image
“Winter sure was miserable… it’s over and we owe it to ourselves to have a little fun,” Phil croons. And he does. Packed with shots of him playing in Nashville’s celebrity softball game, performing in concert and hanging with friends at the lake, Phil lives what he sings in his Barney Fife T-shirt. “Just relax and let the six-pack summer roll.”

“It’s A Summer Thing” – Troy Olsen

YouTube Preview Image
The debut video from this Arizona-bred cowboy proves there’s always room for a groovy new song celebrating the season. Shot in Apache Lake, AZ, the breathtaking backdrop is a departure from the beach settings of so many summer-theme videos. “So grab a cerveza and everyone raise ‘em, and let’s all give thanks for today.”

“It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” – Alan Jackson & Jimmy Buffett

YouTube Preview Image
Alan’s suntanned smile is hard to resist in this tropical treat. Not to mention a sing-along with the king of summer songs himself, Mr. Jimmy Buffet. Go ahead, pour yourself something tall and strong and start your Jamaican vacation right here!

“California Girls” – Gretchen Wilson

YouTube Preview Image
When this redneck woman brings her twang to the beach, she shows those California girls who’s boss. Riding horses on the coast and playing carnival games on the boardwalk, Gretchen may not be blonde but she is a bombshell with six-pack abs to prove it.

“Toes” – Zac Brown Band

YouTube Preview Image
Beer, Ice, Beer. The essential summer shopping list. Good ol’ boy “Flody Boatwood” is a legend in his own mind when he picks a winning lottery ticket and dreams of living the high life in a tropical paradise. In the end, Kid Rock comes to his rescue, he buys a case of beer, and everyone has a good time.

As the sun starts setting a little later and temperatures heat up, it’s time to start thinking about those wonderful summer days and nights. What better way to spend them than watching your favorite country artists sing your favorite songs? In no particular order, here’s our list of the Top 10 must-see summer music tours:

Taylor Swift’s “Speak Now World Tour”

Taylor Swift continues her “Speak Now World Tour” this summer headlining major stadiums and arenas across North America. Getting things started with two shows at Omaha’s Qwest Center Memorial Day Weekend, Taylor hits more than 50 dates through mid-September as she takes the scenic route through more than 20 states and 4 Canadian provinces. Detroit’s Ford Field, Foxboro’s Gillette Stadium and 4 sold-out appearances at Los Angeles’ Staples Center in late August are all on the itinerary. If you’re reading this and haven’t bought your tickets yet, it’s time to start calling every friend and cousin you have since all but 6 shows are sold out through September 21. Opening acts include NeedToBreathe, Randy MontanaFrankie Ballard and James Wesley. Tickets range from $27.00 – $89.50.

Jason Aldean’s “Summer 2011 My Kinda Party Tour”

Jason Aldean keeps rollin’ this summer and hosting nothing but good times at 18 shows scheduled through July and August. The party starts July 8 with a high profile gig at Milwaukee’s famed Summerfest before performing in 12 states coast to coast as well as Alberta, Canada. Other key dates include July 23 at Wyoming’s Cheyenne Frontier Days and a Saturday night show August 13 at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia, MO. Chris Young and Thompson Square join on most dates to kick the party into high gear. Tickets range from $23.25-$70.00.

Brad Paisley’s “H2O II World Tour”

Has Brad Paisley ever taken a break from the road? It seems the current ACM Entertainer of the Year just keeps on giving the fans exactly what they want since he was forced to dry out his road gear after May 2010’s Nashville flood. If you remember, this was just before kicking off the original “H20 World Tour.” Paisley fittingly kicks off the new edition of “H2O II World Tour” at the Virginia Beach Ampitheatre on June 3 with 19 shows through the Midwest and Eastern seaboard before heading to Europe in early August. Tour stops include Country Stampede in Manahattan, KS on June 25 and Maine’s Scarborough Downs on July 17. Special guests include Blake Shelton and Jerrod Niemann. Tickets range from $30.00-$125.00. Josh Turner Parties “All Over”

Josh Turner photo courtesy of UMG Nashville.

Josh Turner was suffering from the last remnants of a head cold, but he didn’t let it dent his spirits.

Josh joined songwriters Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson and Ben Hayslip as the men of the hour at a No. 1 party Tuesday at Rooster’s in Nashville, honoring his quirky, summer-themed hit, “All Over Me.”

Coming on the heels of “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” the song made Josh one of only six artists to notch a pair of No. 1 singles this year, according to Billboard. The significance of that moment was not lost on him.
